Inspiration

The Prime Minister of India had launched the Swachh Bharat Mission on 2nd October 2014. Every Indian has started contribution towards it, and this is our one honest attempt to take this initiative to next level, by rewarding the new generation for their deeds and save the environment in our unique way.

What it does

This system encourages the individuals to categorize their wastage, submit their wastage by themselves and get rewarded for their deeds.

The purpose of this initiative is to save the environment and get rewarded for your deeds. Most of the countries are always dependent on their respective governments to set up waste collection mechanisms in a giant manner. We’ve provided different wastage categories from where users can choose his/her category of wastage item and submit their request to nearest wastage collection hub with two option pick-up and Self facility.

Once users submit their request, the collection hub team will collect the wastage from individual location and send it to recycling hub.

The next phase will put emphasis more towards making the system robust, enhance the waste management system enhanced at HUB level and make the user’s journey more rewarding.

How we built it

We have followed a holistic approach here to build this system.

Problem Study & Analysis – We have studied the current system in place, and the role of a government and individual in this. After studying, we have identified the challenges, possible solutions and implementation approach.
Technology Driven Solution - In today’s cutting edge technology era, technology always plays a crucial part in solving any day-to-day problem. The way India is witnessing a change in various industry like food, grocery, ecommerce – we have taken the similar approach to get higher adoption.
Government & People Participation – We have made sure that solution helps the government by reducing their overall cost and encourage individuals to be an active member of the system.

Challenges we ran into

Implement Firebase integration with send dynamic push notification for different actions to notify users.
To demonstrate our model and convince our state government to utilize our Eco-Wastage model to help our society and environment.
Identifying a better waste management separation tool and implementation of it as hub level.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We've proud to be successfully demonstrate our model to our state government and we got appreciation from our state Home minister.

What we learned

We've learned lots of things how we can help our nation with this eco-system which can recycle wastage and un-used items management.

What's next for SplidHub

Implementation of smart waste management tool like https://www.ishitva.in/ for All Hubs for better waste management
Live Tracking (User can live tracking pick-up guy location on map like Uber) for users
Pricing Algorithm for each category item wastage (for e.g., Plastic Bottle 10rs Per/KG)
Food Distribution Channel integration (We need to tie-up with any NGO or organization who registers with our platform and provides services to collect wastage food and supply it to needy people)
ML & AI based detailed reporting for Government to identify the efforts to reduce specific wastage
Clean City / State Award Indicators – The reports in this system will help in identifying the cleanest city / state in the platform
City / State / Area Super Hero Reward Program – Identifying the user who is making sure maximum waste clearance and bringing more people on the platform to spread awareness
Live Support (In this module we will provide chatbot for user's questions and answer and if anyone finds any garbage/wastage nearby his/her society capture photo with location detail our team will take action on it and remove those garbage/wastage)
Awareness video campaign in our application.
Provide Separate Admin panel for Collection Hub owners in which we need to provide manage daily request from user with status management along with different filtering and reporting.
