What it does
SplashPay is a convenient way to donate to the websites you use most. We collect the website you traffic that accept XRP donations. Every week, we prompt you to donate to these websites, allowing you to support your favorite creators.
Challenges we ran into/ What we learned
We didn't come into this project knowing a lot of Javascript, and we had to learn a lot about fintech and cryptocurrency to get this to work. We've never made an extension before, so we also had to learn a lot about API integration to get this to work.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It works! It's an extension that runs in the browser and is successful in accessing wallets and collecting website traffic data.
What's next for SplashPay
In the future, we want to implement automatic payments for a better user experience. Additionally, we want to expand this extension to be compatible with all major browsers, not just Firefox.
