Spizify

Inspiration

We are big Heardle fans, the team has always enjoyed testing our music knowledge and we thought that would be an excellent thing to do a project over.

What it does

It receives the users Spotify account information and has you guess what song is playing based on the users recently liked songs.

How we built it

We used javascript and react as the building blocks. The official Spotify API paired with many user created APIs is what we used to parse and populate all of the user data.

Challenges we ran into

Most of use had pretty much zero experience using react and some of us have never even used javascript before. We hit a roadblock every step of the way because of our lack of knowledge on the react work flow, but despite this managed to work through and get a project we are all happy with.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully used the advanced Spotify API and figured out how to receive and display all of the correct data. Our UI design is pretty clean as well for our experience level.
