SpeakUp

I wanted to create a project that lets people speak up about social justice issues that are important to them. I thought that it would be cool to give people, especially those from marginalized groups, a platform to share their thoughts and raise awareness social justice problems. The website lets users submit their thoughts on social justice issues. They can tell us what issue matters to them and share their ideas on how to make them better. It is built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. One challenge we ran into was getting the form to submit properly and not reloading every time we open the link. I am proud of how the form works and how the outline of the website looks. I learned about web development learned how to code in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the use of AI. I learned how to make websites user-friendly and easy to navigate and its even more important for something like social justice. In the future, I would like to add more features like allowing users to interact with other user's submission and maybe implement a feature like comments into my code. I also might want to make the website more accessible and maybe add some kind of user profiles to track their submissions.
