Inspiration

Coinbase is getting into NFTs.The cryptocurrency exchange said Tuesday it plans to launch a marketplace that lets users mint, collect and trade NFTs, or nonfungible tokens. Users can sign up to a waitlist for early access to the feature, the company said. This news inspired us to take the NFT as our theme and work on this project.

What it does

One can invest in NFTs by buying them and selling them at a profit. NFT marketplace allow digital collectors to buy, sell and create their own tokens that represent ownership of unique, tangible and intangible items. NFT marketplaces are platforms where NFTs can be stored, displayed and traded.

How we built it -

Built a full stack NFT Trade platform on Ethereum. Built using polygon and Next.js Hardhat used as solidity development environment. Ethers as a client library to interact with the blockchain Ipfs for uploading and downloading the files. Coded smart contracts using solidity.

Challenges we ran into

Connecting metamask with the project was quite tricky because of the high network collision on ethereum. Working with hardhat solidity environment was not very familiar. It had taken good amount of research and time to understand and connect our backend with frontend.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Able to sell digital assets from one account to another using metamask. The transactions were flawlessely done and compratively faster as well. The marketplace beautifully aligned all the nfts on dashboard with their respective price.

What we learned

To build projects on ethereum. Nfts working and the future of nfts. To sell and purchase nfts by ethers. Writing smart contracts and deploying it on blockchain.

What's next for SparkNft

SparkNft is a fully functional project and we would be deploying it for public usage. People can store, trade and display Nfts on SparkNft platform and this would be working as an asset in the world of FinTech.
