Inspiration

Email spam is a big problem, and email marketing and web scraping is a billion dollar industry - black hat marketers use scrapers to mass promote things and sell your email as leads. Moreover, carelessness on the part of the user. Example - Submitting email in the comment section of a linkedin post (big invitation for spam)

What it does

Gives a powerful captcha protected sharable link for each professional/work email - keeping web scrapers away from your emails

How we built it

Used tailwind CSS for the frontend of the web app, Node/expressJS for the backend, designed the UI/pages with bolt.new. Used mongoDB as our database.

Challenges we ran into

Had to figure out session management and usage of captcha technology.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Someone complimented that our landing page looks slick.

What's next for Spail.me

V2 can turn into a fantastic link in bio SaaS along with mail protection. Adding payment gateway for the service for monetization.
