Inspiration

The dynamic realm of esports is undergoing rapid evolution, mirroring the growth trajectories of traditional sports like football. However, the integration of in-game advertising and sponsorship in live gaming streams still has much untapped potential. This disparity ignited our passion to introduce a revolutionary platform that could not only incorporate these branding opportunities in the gaming world but also offer real-time insights for players and fans alike.

What it does

Spaces is a comprehensive bridge connecting advertisers, gamers, and enthusiasts. It is a data-driven platform designed to facilitate in-game sponsorships for live gaming streams. Advertisers can access player performance metrics, bid for in-game digital spaces, and visualize their logos in real-time and also measure the performance of their brand exposure. For gamers, it offers an avenue to monetize their virtual space and garner sponsorships. Also, "Spaces Scoreboard." It's a real-time dashboard displaying everything from a player's health, armor levels, equipment to sponsor branding for particular Match which could be used as a browser extension. Every bomb-related event, from planting to explosion and defusal, is meticulously tracked. Furthermore, our innovative timeline feature provides a round-by-round color-coded representation, highlighting significant in-game events. This integration is perfect for the gaming community, enabling them to keep tabs on matches even while they're engaged in other activities.

How we built it

Spaces harnesses in-game data to provide a holistic profile for players, presenting a historical analysis of their performance. We developed metrics centered around the View Generated by player, Per Round Estimated View time, 'key moments' hypothesis, targeting moments when players are most visible, the best part is, all these metrics are updated in real-time as and events happen in a match, in a round. By integrating services like GRID esports, we could extract this data effectively. We've implemented an anonymous English auction for transparent sponsorship deals. The Spaces Scoreboard, Through rigorous integration and utilizing real-time APIs, the scoreboard offers a live feed of in-game activities, making the experience immersive.

Challenges we ran into

Interpreting in-game data and transforming it into actionable insights was a challenging endeavor. Ensuring the real-time functionality of Spaces Scoreboard, while maintaining accuracy and synchronicity with the live game, required meticulous planning and execution. Our objective was to amplify the gaming experience without any disruptions, and balancing these aspects was a significant challenge.

Spaces, with its multifaceted offerings, stands as a testament to our vision and execution. The incorporation of the Ad performance engine, measuring view time of player and other essential key moments in real-time and the Spaces Scoreboard showcases our commitment to offering state-of-the-art solutions. The scoreboard, serves as a unique solution, providing unparalleled real-time insights into ongoing matches.
