Inspiration

You've just brought a second hand spaceship! Unfortunately, while cruising the starts, you find that it isn't as reliable as you'd though, and warning lights start coming on.

What it does

As systems on your spacecraft fail, warning lights come on, and you must press the correct button in time to repair the systems, or it will be irrevocably broken. If all the systems fail, your spaceship explodes! (and you lose)

How we built it

We used an arduino uno for the logic, programmed in C. We also used various electronics and craft supplies to make the interface.

Challenges we ran into

Outputs from the arduino can sometimes be mysterious.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We got it working!

What we learned

After you get it working, don't try and change breadboards, as that breaks it again.

What's next for Spacecraft Control Crisis

While the initial version just uses buttons for the repair actions, we would like to use a greater variety of inputs, so each subsystem can be a unique challenge to repair.
