Inspiration
I've always enjoyed scrolling shooters, and wanted to make my own
What it does
Currently it only scrolls the beginning of a terrain map, while the player is free to fly and shoot
How I built it
I used free art assets from opengameart.org and the unity game engine
Challenges I ran into
Getting the animation to look exactly how I wanted was difficult
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I think the animated player ship turned out well
What I learned
I learned how 2d sprite animations work in unity, how to make them, and how to call them from C# script
What's next for Space Force
Add enemies, much longer and more detailed levels, score keeping, and a plot
