Inspiration
News android applications are among the first under the Axe when memory space is required by the user. A news application that is intelligent and doesn't bog down user with too many notifications.
What it does
It provides an elegant interface that focuses only on one news item at a time and doesn't receive user with unnecessary details of news instances. Along with this, it provides a chat-bot facility, where user can interact with a AI bot leveraged by Google Assistant SDK and query for details and news instances with certain attributes. We also provide investigative journalism as a news category along with categories found on legacy applications such as Sports, Business, Science and Technology, Lifestyle, Entertainment, etc. The focused single news item contains text to speech and speech to text engines for state of the art navigation through different news and allows user to have a wonderful experience.
How we built it
We used API's from newsapi.org to fetch news items. we used Google's library Volley to make GET request to the API.
Challenges we ran into
Getting the full story from the API, because in current scenario we're using web view to display full story.

Creating chat room interfaces, 9 patch image format for chat bubble, surviving and enjoying 30 hour code-marathon.
What's next for SourVis
Making the bot intelligent so that it can do fake news detection, pitch news that are relevant to the user. Making GUI a bit more user friendly.
