• Our solution to the Intuit Prompt: ## Inspiration
  • Our inspiration stemmed from a desire to make budgeting approachable and engaging for college students, many of whom are managing their finances independently for the first time. We recognized that students often feel overwhelmed by financial planning, so we aimed to create a tool that not only simplifies budgeting but also fosters collaboration and support.

What it does

  • Our app empowers students to break down and organize their budgets in a way that’s easy to view and manage. Users can categorize expenses, set financial goals, and track progress all within a clean, intuitive interface.

How we built it

  • We started by conducting user research to understand college students’ budgeting challenges and preferences. Based on these insights, we created a wireframe and developed the initial designs in Figma, focusing on a minimalist, user-centric interface

Challenges we ran into

  • Designing a layout that combined detailed financial insights while using a minimalistic approach was challenging initially, but we integrated features to make it functional.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • We’re proud of developing an interface that feels approachable and easy to use for students new to budgeting. Our design achieved a balance between simplicity and functionality, maintaining a clean look without sacrificing essential financial features.

What we learned

  • We learned about student budgeting habits, which helped us focus on simplicity and ease of use. This project taught us how to balance visual design with functionality, especially important for a tool meant to simplify financial planning.

What's Next for Solution

Our goal is to help students build lifelong budgeting skills that extend beyond college. Next steps include integrating interactive financial tutorials and personalized tips based on user data to enhance learning.
