Inspiration
We were inspired by the mission statement and function of the "BeMyEyes" app. It sought to find ways to bring blind-assistance to the digital age and greatly succeeded in doing so.
What it does
Our app allows people in need of aid to request help from volunteers. The volunteers are able to see these requests and accept local tasks. A conversation is then started to allow both parties to communicate about logistics. Our app is targeted for individuals with disabilities and is meant to increase accessibility.
How we built it
We utilized Android Studio as the IDE, Java and XML for the frontend, and utilized Firebase runtime database for the backend
