Inspiration

Nothing's fun without competition. Build with snow while competing with your friends

What it does

A platform to submit projects and compete with others in building snow sculptures on weekly themes.

How we built it

We used a combination of Nuxt.js, Supabase, and SCSS.

Challenges we faced

All three main technologies used for this hackathon were new to me, so it took longer than expected to learn while developing (I faced an enormous number of bugs).

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Having only found the hackathon on Saturday, I was worried I couldn't finish the project in time. However, though I had to abandon some ideas (temporarily), I was able to learn a lot of new technologies on the way.

What I learned

I learned more about nuxt.js, learned about storage in Supabase alongside PostgreSQL, and tried out new styles for the website like glassmorphism.

What's next for Snowgineer

These are some of the ideas I had planned for the project (some of which I originally wanted to do as part of the hackathon): Navigate to the previous week's themes and leaderboard Purchase items using snowflakes from a shop Profile photos for users Leaderboard sorting (for voting)
