💡Inspiration

MLH is a cool and helpful organization that help a lot of developer to improve and getting better by hackathon, so I'm thinking to make things that also can help a lot of developers out there, and then sniphare comes to my mind.

🤖What it does

It's a simple web application where developer can find and share their code snippet, you can share your favorite code snippet here so another developer can use it too. You can also do a simple search and filtering based on the programming languages. It's perfect for developer who wanted to save all their snippets in one place also searching for another useful snippet.

⚒️How we built it

I built this project using react as the main framework, also firebase for handling the database backend and the authentication systems.

🧱Challenges we ran into

I'm building this project using many new library i haven't try before like prismjs for rendering and syntax highlighter, so its kinda confusing for the first time.

🏅Accomplishments that we're proud of

Completing the project in time, also learn many library in the same time.

📚What we learned

For the technical side, i learn many new useful and cool libraries to use in the future. For the non technical side i learn that i can't make all things i've planned finished.

🕰️What's next for Sniphare

I'm planning to add more support for another programming language here, adding save or bookmark features, fixing the like logic, adding save as picture features, adding pagination, making the website responsive, improving the search systems, and also making users can add each other.
