🧠 Inspiration We were inspired by fast-paced classics like Cooking Mama and WarioWare, where every action counts and chaos is part of the fun. Our goal was to bring that same energy into a collaborative, turn-based experience, where two players work together to keep the pizza shop running — fast, funny, and full of personality.

🍕 What it does Snapizza! is a collaborative, turn-based mini-game where two players team up to manage a pizza restaurant. Each challenge represents a stage of the pizza-making process: 1. Memory – choose the correct ingredients. 2. Speed – cook the pizza as fast as possible. 3. Skill – slice the pizza with precision. 4. Rhythm – deliver it on beat!

At the end of the game, the final team score appears — and the best performer of the two players receives a special “Employee of the Month” plaque 🏆🍕.

🛠️ How we built it We focused on keeping the game simple but connected: • Used variables and arrays to link the four minigames smoothly. • Built a tap-screen mechanic for quick and intuitive interaction. • Designed a turn-based system that lets one player complete their challenge and send it by message to the next. • Implemented random components for the memory challenge to make each session unique. • Used interactive components for the precision and rhythm stages.

🧩 Challenges we ran into The biggest challenge was creating smooth transitions between minigames while keeping gameplay short and replayable. We also had to balance the competitive and collaborative aspects — making sure both players feel equally important in the team’s performance.

🏅 Accomplishments that we’re proud of We made a fast, social, and easy-to-understand multiplayer game that connects players through quick, satisfying challenges. Each stage feels unique, but together they form a chaotic and funny restaurant story. And of course — the Employee of the Month moment at the end always makes players laugh (and compete harder next time). 😄🍕

💡 What we learned We learned how to combine logic, storytelling, and interactivity to create a collaborative experience that feels both casual and competitive. We also saw how turn-based design can make simple games more social, even when players aren’t online at the same time.

🚀 What’s next for Snapizza! We plan to expand Snapizza! with new versions and harder levels to keep players challenged and entertained. Each update will introduce new pizza-making stages, more complex tasks, and faster challenges to test memory, speed, and coordination.

We also want to add special events, like Pizza Festival Week or Rush Hour Mode, and integrate Snapchat Lenses with AR interactions — so players can toss, bake, and deliver pizzas right in augmented reality. 🍕👻

And why not… explore other types of restaurants? 🌮🍣🍔 We could expand the Snapizza! universe into new cuisines while keeping the same collaborative, chaotic, and fun spirit that defines the game.
