Inspiration

We wanted the users to be able to get COVID19 data, daily quotes and space news easily.

What it does

It is an SMS tool that allows the users to type in commands to get COVID19 data, daily quotes and space news easily.

How we built it

We used Twilio SMS API to build it. We also use Node.js and express.js to build the application.

Challenges we ran into

We had some initial difficulties while trying to set up the Twilio server.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to host the server remotely using Heroku while utilizing existing Twilio infrastructure for the app.

What we learned

We learnt how to use the Twilio SMS API.

What's next for SMS Utility

We hope to add more functionalities to the project, so the users can even do more with the project. We also hope to expand the user pool, so the general public can use the application. We hope also to add MMS to the project.
