Inspiration
Our inspiration for this application was to provide a smart solution to studying for underprivileged students. While other well known flash card apps like Quizlet exist, many of their premium features are hidden behind a very hefty premium. SmartStudy is not only completely free, but also a provides variety of features to enhance the user's studying experience.
What it does
Our project automatically generates flashcards and practice tests from an image or pdf of a textbook.
How we built it
We used React for the frontend and Python and Flask for the backend. Along with this, we also used MongoDB for the database.
Challenges we ran into
Issues with react, time issues, issues with large language model format, and UI.
