SmartSorter

The start of the game.
The score goes up after a correct answer.
After an incorrect answer, the score goes down.
Once you get 75 points, you win and the game restarts.
However, if you get to -25 points, you lose and get another try.

Inspiration

We ourselves weren't very good at sorting trash and we were aware of how much of the trash that goes into landfills can actually be recycled or composted.

What it does

This project is a game that allows you to sort various common garbage items into 3 bins: Recycle, Landfill, and Compost. Points are awarded for correct answers and are deducted for incorrect answers.

How we built it

We built it with the Python language, using the help of the Pygame library.

Challenges we ran into

A challenge we ran into was the time constraint. We made this efficiently by splitting up the work among the five of us.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud that we were able to implement a "point" system.

What we learned

We learned how to work together as a team, how to set deadlines, and how to split up work.

What's next for SmartSorter

In the future, we will add more garbage items or make the game look better. We might also add explanations for why certain items should go into the bin they belong to.
