Inspiration
The inspiration was that we never know what meal to cook with the ingredients that we have in front of us.
What it does
Smartchef instantly generates recipes from a picture that can be uploaded onto a website
How we built it
We built it by using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build the website. We then used the Google Gemini API to detect the items being shown on a camera.
Challenges we ran into
One of the challenges we ran into was being able to connect the Google Gemini API to the website
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that the Google Gemini API was able to detect the items that are shown on the webcam
What we learned
We learned about the importance of machine learning/AI, and how we can apply them in our everyday lives.
