Inspiration
As a teaching assistant or examiner, it can be quite tedious to manually grade exams and then evaluate their score. We, the team at Algorithms and Data Struggles have come up with an innovative solution to tackle this problem and make our lives easier.
What it does
SmartAssess is a Streamlit application designed to grade assignments by comparing student submissions against given rubrics. This application leverages the vectorshift.ai API to evaluate answers based on the criteria specified in the rubrics document.
Features Upload PDF documents for rubrics, questions, and student answers. Enter specific questions for more directed grading insights. Receive grading insights directly through the Streamlit interface.

We built it using OpenAI's GPT 4, Vectorshift AI and Streamlit
What's next for SmartAssess
We're planning on adding multiple submissions so that batches of content can be examined.
