Inspiration: Free yourself from carrying your phone around with a Jarvis like smart home voice system.
How it works: Mobile device with our app receives broadcast signal from iBeacon and then pushes notification through Parse to Raspberry Pi which controls home speakers. With Node installed, Pi grabs relevant time, weather, calendar events, and news across multiple APIs. Pi analyzes data and uses Google translate's TTS function to generate voice notifications.
Challenges I ran into: iBeacon for android was exceedingly difficult to figure out
