Inspiration
SkillzSyncer is inspired by the need to bridge the gap between learning and practical application in coding. Many platforms focus on teaching syntax but lack opportunities for hands-on experience. SkillzSyncer provides a collaborative environment where users can work on real-world projects, gain practical skills, and build portfolios. It also addresses the challenge of finding mentorship and offering connections to experienced developers who can guide and support less experienced coders.
What it does
SkillzSyncer fosters continuous learning, teamwork, and inclusivity by connecting users from diverse backgrounds. It consolidates resources into a single platform, making it easier for coders to find collaborators, mentors, and opportunities in one place. Whether you’re a student seeking experience, a self-taught programmer looking for guidance, or an experienced developer wanting to mentor, SkillzSyncer helps you grow and succeed in the tech community.

How we built it
React + MongoDB, and a lot of duct tape.
Challenges we ran into
Working across time zones (IST/ET), low time together as a team (a lot of solo work), and many errors.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We built something even with all the challenges we had We are very proud of our submission and what we did manage to create!
What we learned
We learned that even with the challenges, we worked well as a team, had a great time, and got close to having an MVP to submit to this hackathon.
What's next for SkillzSyncer
We intend to finish the project and possibly build out more features soon.
