Inspiration
Someone throws up a 67, and your brain just needs the 89. It's pure brainrot, it's unavoidable, and honestly, it deserved to be a Snapchat lens.
What it does
sixsevennnnnn detects when someone makes the 67 hand gesture and automatically triggers the 89 sound effect. It's the most important technological advancement of our generation.
How we built it
We built it in Lens Studio using hand gesture detection to recognize the 67 pose, then tied it to an audio trigger and visual feedback to complete the bit. Getting all three pieces, detection, sound, and visuals, feeling tight and snappy was the main mission.
Challenges we ran into
The hardest part was getting the visuals to actually feel right. It's a comedy lens, so the timing and presentation had to land perfectly: too slow or too janky and the joke dies. A lot of iteration went into making the whole thing feel satisfying.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It works. You do 67, you get 89. Every time. No notes.
What we learned
Gesture detection in Lens Studio is genuinely powerful, and the gap between "it technically works" and "it actually feels good" is where all the real work lives.
What's next for sixsevennnnnn
More brainrot.
