Signify

Inspiration

We were inspired by noticing problems in the community around us, and figuring out what we can do to minimize these problems

What it does

The app translates sign language to English.

How we built it

We used Kivy and opencv for the most part to code the app.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into challenges training the model, as we had to upload many pictures.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very proud of how we were able to work together so cohesively.

What we learned

We learned how to better serve the communities around us and how many communities are often overlooked.

What's next for Signify

We hope to expand its services and even include text to sign one day.
