Inspiration
The inspiration for this project came from doomscrolling and our attention spans. When we are doomscrolling we lose attention to our tasks and focus on our phones.
What it does
What FWORK does it help you get your focus back!, we nudge you right back to your task if you start to look away. When looking away you are clouded by fog, and when you dont want the fog, you have the ability to wipe it!
How we built it
We built it by individually making different features and then merging them all together at the end.
Challenges we ran into
The first challenge we had was gathering assets and tracking the head motion and position of the headset and the hands. The second challenge we got lost trying to download the PICO integration SDK's and trying to set up PICO to stream with our Unity Developer Platform. We also had installation issues with Unity, and finding different methods on how build to the headset, creating different UI layouts, effects, and refining.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of that we made it as far as we could despite being sleep deprived, we perceivered with our tough mental fortitude.
What we learned
We learned alot on how to develop for Unity and how to integrate AR/VR headsets to work with the Unity Developer platform. Mainly we also experienced techniques on game development, asset management, and configuration.
What's next for Attention!
What we plan to do is add full support for Mixed Reality, Blending the Real world with actual work. What we also plan to do is object recognition on specific objects you choose to focus on.
