Inspiration

Inspired by our love for gaming, childhood games and the Shopify challenge. We wanted to build something that would simulate what running a store in real life is like.

What it does

ShopifyMarket simulates an online store and the challenges enterpreneus run into when starting a bussiness.

How we built it

We used Reach for the frontend and Flask backend. We tried to use MongoDb for the database but didn't have a lot of time to get that working.

Challenges we ran into

Unable to set up MongoDb. Lost a team member. Life happened.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of how the overall project turned out. Even though we couldn't finish all that we wanted to, we are proud that we continued despite the challenges we faced.

What we learned

Learned more about the process of building an online store, we did research on the topic. Learned React, and more importantly pixel art.

What's next for ShopiMarket

Ideally we can publish it, maybe under a different name and remove Shopify branding. But first, we need to get MongoDb working!!
