Sherlocked

Inspiration

Water despite being the most important nutrient for life on earth, it is being wasted constantly. We want to decrease the water wastage in our universities and play our part.

What it does

Using Arduino and different software and hardware will notify the office that a water tap is left open and also record the person who left it and report to the officials, who might be the proctor of the dormitory or the cafe assistant.

How we built it

Using breadboard, jumper cables, and laptops.

Challenges we ran into

Not sufficient knowledge about hardware and electronics.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The basic system is implemented and can be duplicated to anywhere any time

What we learned

Gave us insight into the complications that can arise and how to tackle them

What's next for Sherlocked

The idea is very scalable and has great impact. We will continue to develop this system not only for water but for waste management
