A web-app that enables you to report the homeless people around you & eventually fight poverty.
Inspiration
Homelessness is often referred to as an Indian Crisis, yet it's never been a 9pm new debate topic. The reason for this is that the issue has prevailed in India for so long that it is believed to be an intangible part of the society. We can't change the social ideology but what we can do is narrow the gap between the poor and the mainstream society.
The Idea
In a country like India, it's really very difficult to gather data of the poor & homeless; hence, making it difficult to reach out to them & provide any kind of help. This issue can only be resolved with the help of technology, but the catch is that they're not the one with access to it. Here, someone who can bring a change is us who carry phones everywhere we go.
How it Works
We always have our phones in handy, we click pictures very frequently & use an internet browser for every other task. So, the app is made in a way where by any means we're not supposed to go out of our way to bring a change in the society.
All we need to do is provide the location of the homeless, if you wish to go out of your way you can reach out to the person and submit more information like no. of family members, some pictures & the recipient's name. The data you provide can be used by NGO's & the Government to offer the required help. Moreover, you can also donate for specific families & in general for the cause, however you wish.
What's Unique
We have planned to add a rewarding feature which ranks the top Hero based on their contribution for the cause. Also, a level/rank will be displayed on your profile as you progress. The purpose of integrating these features is to encourage the users contribute more.
