What it does

Investing can be complicated and difficult especially for beginners. Even the smallest mistakes can cost you a lot of money. With SharkStocks you can have a personalized bot trade for you! SharkStocks is a mobile application from which you can create a bot to invest for you. SharkStocks has several preprogrammed and tested algorithms. Everyone has a different risk tolerance, which is why we allow the user to tell the app what they want and have the app create an algorithm for them. We tested the algorithm on Friday and we made a profit of 8.32%.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest issue we faced during development was the time constraint. We had to develop the script as soon as possible to maximize testing and debugging. Since we only had one market day to test we had to make sure the algorithm was complete before the market closed.

Accomplishments that we're proud of / What we learned

At first, we were very pessimistic about the idea of auto trading. We didn't expect the algorithm to perform to the level at which it did. When we looked at the data complied by the bot we were extremely surprised. We came in expecting daily returns of less than 1% but ending up getting 8.32%. Overall we feel that what we made has potential and is definitely something we want to continue developing.

What's next for Shark Stocks

Since we had time constraints to develop the algorithms we were not able to create as many as we had originally hoped. We want to continue making more algorithms and continue making the app more profitable. We also wish to add more courses on the community tab.
