Share Me was born from a library chat. Surplus books sat untouched, while others craved knowledge. That gap sparked our mission: bridge it with a platform connecting donors and readers. 📚
What it does
Share Me is a web-based platform designed to facilitate the donation of unused books to individuals in need. It connects donors who wish to share their books with those seeking access to reading material, fostering a community-driven approach to promote literacy and reduce book waste.
How we built it
Frontend: Developed using React for an interactive user interface. Backend: Powered by Node.js to manage server-side operations. Database: Utilized MongoDB to store and organize book listings and user data. Tools: Employed Visual Studio Code for coding and GitHub for version control and collaboration among the team. Result: Integrated these technologies to create Share Me, a user-friendly web app facilitating book donation and sharing.
