Inspiration

I wanted to make food discovery more fun and social for college students by turning it into a playful, daily activity.

What it does

ShareBite lets students quickly rate cafés and restaurants, see their friends’ rankings, and build a shared, dynamic food feed.

How we built it

I used Figma to design a minimal, mobile-first experience with core pages for food logging, social feeds, and location-aware discovery tailored to student life.

Challenges we ran into

I struggled to balance simplicity with enough features to keep students engaged without overwhelming them.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I created a clean, student-focused UX that blends social interaction and food reviews in a way that feels fresh and fun.

What we learned

Designing for a specific user group, college students, helped me prioritize features that aligned with their habits and motivations.

What's next for ShareBite

I plan to refine the review system with simple star/number ratings, introduce comments and direct recommendations to friends, and design a playful monthly wrapped feature to reflect on your food journey, like a Spotify Wrapped for bites.
