Goal
Students across the country are struggling from sleep deprivation and anxiety because they fail to achieve peak productivity. There are dozens of apps dedicated to distracting students and keeping them off task, but very few do the opposite. Sequence is a digital application that uses circadian rhythm science and the Pomodoro technique to help students stay on task and achieve maximum productivity. It schedules their assignments, and sends reminders with helpful tips to help them stay on task. By implementing a freemium revenue model and eventually selling our product to school districts we hope to achieve consistent revenue streams from students like us who struggle with productivity.
What issue is this tackling?
We are addressing the need of productivity that students lack when it comes to their downsides of remote learning. As quarantine progresses students try to find ways to stay motivated throughout school despite staying at home.
How I built it
Mohammed Al-Rasheed used Adobe Xd to draft a prototype of the app. After that he took it further and put into code using the framework Electron.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I'm proud of the research we used on how to be more productive and how it shall be applied to this app. For example, the pomodoro timer, and how we also plan to use circadian rhythms.
What's next for Sequence
We plan to finish the development Sequence after this competition and hope we can get something up and running.
