Inspiration
In school we often see that when we are taught about tourist places in geography, we only see the picture in a textbook, which makes the learning boring. We want to visit the places we learn about, but not everyone can afford that and with the pandemic, it is not possible. So our team came up with the idea through which students can see the complete 3D model for a particular monument or tourist place from their own classroom.
What it does
Our project presents the information of monuments along with their pictures. However, there is a special feature that the user can use to also see the 3D model of the particular monument. It will make learning about monuments fun and accessible for all. This project is especially made for young students.
How we built it
We built it using the following- 1)HTML 2)CSS 3)EchoAR
Challenges we ran into
Linking the AR models to our webpage.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that our team had near-perfect coordination and the drive to complete the project on time.
What we learned
We learned about how to make 3D augmented reality models, build and link webpages to our app, and present a project in a video pitch.
What's next for SeeMonuments.Online
Currently our project has only a few monument's AR models. If we get rhe chance to improve then we will add more monuments with realistic models. We will also add a Virtual Reality feature with which people can feel that they are really seeing the monuments.
