Inspiration
Every day, my mother spends time out of her day to help my brother with his writing homework. I wanted to explore a way to ease this part of her day.
What it does
Scrypt is a phone application that gives direct feedback for students who are practicing their handwriting.
Teachers can create assignments on the websites, and the students will be able to see these assignments on their phones. Students can complete the assignment by writing the necessary text on a piece of paper and taking a picture using the built in camera. AWS Rekognition will give feedback on the writing, and the student can submit a finished assignment.
How we built it
Scrypt has two parts: an ios application and a website. The ios application was created using react native, and the website was created with HTML+CSS+JS. The log-in information is stored in firebase.
