Inspiration
So one day we played a game of scrabble and we were like dang we should make that but on a computer. So then we did it for this hackathon.
What it does
The backend just simulates a game of scrabble with all the rules, logic, etc. The front end (which doesn't work currently) is meant to create a web interface to play the game one
How we built it
Built the backend with kotlin then used vite, react, typescript, and tailwind to create a front end for the website
Challenges we ran into
The website. Neither of us have done any web development before so it took up most of the time to try and learn it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting as much progress as we did on the website! Plus also a entirely working backend.
What we learned
For not having any experience we learned a lot about websites, websockets and more web development stuff in only like a day.
What's next for Scrabble
Hopefully a fully functional website where you can play scrabble with other people!
