Helping lazy teens/Cleaning up the world

What it does

Picks up trash with a claw connected to a controller and puts it in a garbage bin

How we built it

Built the actual robot with Vex and programmed it with ROBOTC

Challenges we ran into

Counterweight, wireless connection, building the arm/hinge/programming the controller

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It actually works the way we hoped it to!

What we learned

How to build a robot and program it. Learned how to use a wireless controller to control our robot.

What's next for Scorpion Trashcan

Hopefully one day it can be voice-activated connected to an Alexa/Google Home. Maybe it can have a garbage can on its back and can help not only lazy teens but also help pick up litter on the streets and beaches.
