Inspiration
Almost 50 percent of students felt like they are not engaged in class. We also noticed that we and our classmates were incredibly bored during class, which sparked the inspiration for the legendary learning website School 2.0.
What it does
School 2.0 has two subjects to choose from, mathematics and science. After choosing a subject to learn, the student may read the unit articles and play a quiz game. In the game, the student can gain coins to use in the shop, where avatars are available for buying. With the coins, avatars, and game scores, the student can gain achievements.
How we built it
We used HTML and CSS to make the website design. Then, we used JavaScript to handle the coins, game, shop, and achievements.
Challenges we ran into
Sometimes, we went off-topic, and the code had many small bugs.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of making the website and working on the project.
What we learned
We relearned science and math when we wrote the curriculum and tested the game.
