Inspiration
We wanted to build an application to help students like ourselves with procrastination and time management.
What it does
ScheduAI uses AI to help users manage their daily tasks by creating an easy-to-follow planner based on their tasks, suggesting specific start times for tasks, and providing custom advice on completing these tasks.
How we built it
ScheduAI was built using React.js for the front-end interface, C# for the backend, and Postgress for data management.
Challenges we ran into
During this hackathon, we encountered multiple technical challenges, mainly from integrating AI. After hours of research, we discovered Gemini, a tool that met our requirements.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to have developed a usable task-management system that integrates AI components. Despite its imperfections, we are happy with the end product of our system. We're glad we spent this hackathon working on a product that can benefit other students with their procrastination.
What we learned
This process taught us much about front and back-end development, database systems, AI integration, and most importantly, teamwork. We learned how to divvy up tasks, and each of us focused on separate tasks while also being able to help each other out and come together to solve more significant problems.
What's next for ScheduAI
Although we are impressed with ScheduAI, we would like to continue it to see where we can take it. We have talked about making the schedules more customizable, continuing to work on bettering the AI recommendations, improving the UI, and add more features such as Pomodoro timers for tasks. We would love to make ScheduAI available for public use. In the future we would like to add 2FA to improve the security of our website.
