Inspiration

The inspiration behind SAPDrive came from an idea with the inefficiencies in managing schedules at a service station. Long queues, and missed appointments were common issues. I wanted to create a solution that not only streamlines the scheduling process.

What it does

SAPDrive is a comprehensive application designed to handle all aspects of service station scheduling. It features an intuitive arrangement view, allowing users to easily visualize. The SMS options ensure seamless communication by sending timely reminders and updates to both service providers and customers. Additionally, the graph representation provides valuable insights into Revenue generation and Appointments per day

How we built it

The project was built using a combination of modern web development technologies. The front end was developed using Angular 7 for its dynamic and responsive user interface. The backend, powered by Flask, handles data processing. Twilio API integration facilitated the implementation of SMS features.

Challenges we ran into

Implementing a robust solution for this required careful consideration of data integrity and performance. Additionally, integrating SMS functionality and ensuring its reliability posed its own set of challenges, especially handling different carriers.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud to have successfully created a feature-rich scheduling application that addresses the specific needs of service stations. The arrangement view, SMS options, and graph representation seamlessly come together to provide a holistic solution. Overcoming the challenges of real-time synchronization and SMS integration showcases the team's dedication and problem-solving skills.

What we learned

Throughout the project, we learned the importance of user-centric design and the complexities involved in creating a real-time collaborative application. Working with external APIs, such as Twilio, deepened our understanding of third-party integrations and the need for error handling in real-world scenarios.

What's next for SAPDrive

Looking ahead, we plan to enhance SAPDrive by incorporating machine learning algorithms to predict peak hours and optimize resource allocation. Additionally, we aim to expand the application's capabilities by integrating more communication channels and introducing customization options for different types of service stations. Continuous user feedback will be invaluable in refining and improving the application further.
