Inspiration
Well, I wanted to create something that prints the lyrics of a song. At first, it seemed dull so I made my own twist my timing the lyrics to the singer. Though this Is my first project, I feel like the timing is still very off, but my idea was there. I was ultimately inspired by karaoke videos on YouTube.
What it does
My program will print the lyrics of the song " Santa Tell Me" by Ariana Grande as she sings it
How we built it
I used Python to build this. I tried to implement delays to sync the lyrics with her voice, but it was tedious and challenging.
Challenges we ran into
I had trouble syncing the printed lyrics and Ariana's actual voice because there would be parts where she would sing fast or slow, and the tempo change was hard to implement.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud of this being my first online hackathon; I didn't have much coding experience. I am pleased that I could code something that I felt was enjoyable to make.
What we learned
I learned a lot about Python and Pygame. You can create new windows and display your program there, too. The mixer where you can play music was something I learned as well.
