Inspiration
Gambling is a human instinct. The adrenaline that such an endeavor gives cannot be matched. Indeed, gambling leads to crippling financial losses. This got me thinking. How can I take one of humanity's most craved urges and remove the risk associated with it.
What it does
Allows for raffle-based gambling without risking any money. The SOL purchased is used to buy tether which returns a 6% yield yearly. this is divided by 12 where the winner gets roughly 0.5% of the total pool.
How we built it
Tears. Many of them. We used SOL with anchor, rust based.
Challenges we ran into
We didn't know any web3 or rust beforehand. We weren't able to figure out how to make the wallet work (since most of our time was spent on the backend code side of things).
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that it kind of works. Nearly everything we set out to make was built as intended. We are proud of being able to utilize rust, Solana, web3, and anchor even with no experience beforehand.
What we learned
Sebastian learned how to rust, Solana, web3, anchor, with zero prior experience before the start of the hackathon. While Adam learned how to use html and build a front end program for the first time using html, css, and java script.
What's next for Samble Coin
Looking ahead, Samble Coin aims to grow its user base, integrate with more platforms We’re focused on improving the user experience on both web and mobile, exploring partnerships for real-world use cases, and preparing for a smooth deployment to mainnet.
