Inspiration

The inspiration for SafeWayBot came from the need to improve pedestrian safety in areas with high crime rates. Many people avoid walking in such areas due to safety concerns, which limits their mobility and access to important resources. SafeWayBot was developed as a solution to this problem, providing users with a safer route and access to helpline numbers for additional support.

What it does

SafeWayBot is an AI-powered bot that suggests the safest route for pedestrians based on crime rate data. Users input their starting point and destination, and the bot generates a route that minimizes the risk of crime along the way. The bot also emails users a list of helpline numbers for the region they will be traveling in, providing an added layer of safety and support.

How we built it

SafeWayBot was built using UiPath, a leading Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tool. The bot uses crime data to analyze crime rates in different areas and suggest the safest route for pedestrians. It also uses UiPath's email automation capabilities to send helpline numbers to users' email addresses.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges we faced while building SafeWayBot was finding reliable and up-to-date crime data for different regions. We also had to ensure that the bot's email automation feature was secure and reliable, as it involved sending sensitive information to users.
