Inspiration

Two of our team members attended the CUNY Startup SpeedDating event where students with startup ideas can look for partners who don't have ideas to help them. The event had about 60 people show up and after attending, our group members claimed that: "It took a long time and had a low matching rate". Even though they weren't pleased with the event, they thought that something where students can come together and share ideas they can work on was needed, and, so we came up with our app.

What it does

Our app is a platform for College students to collaborate whenever they have a project in mind and need help from other students with specific skill-sets or want to work on a project but may not have an idea.

How we built it

We made an android application using Android Studio and designed a mock-up using MockPlus.

Challenges we ran into

Mainly our team lacked someone who was proficient in database and UI design.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We managed to go through a thorough design process that involved use cases, process layouts..etc to create a fresh idea on the spot that we made into an application all within 3 days.

What we learned

We gained experience in working in a group and implementing a project from scratch.

What's next for S.Crew

We will continue to build the app and will publish it on the android market to get some students to use it.
