Inspiration I noticed the effects of unstable land near my own home. I've seen how landslides affected my community by blocking roads and destroying property.
What it does This drone plants trees to stabilize soil and prevent it from moving.
How we built it I analyzed historical data to see where landslides frequently occur then I used machine learning and AI to predict where the next landslide might occur.
Challenges we ran into Before this I didn't have much knowledge of drones or how they work so figuring that out was a challenge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of I'm proud that I was able to overcome my challenge by doing more research on the technical aspects of creating a drone
What we learned I learned that while completely stopping natural disasters isn't possible there are ways to minimize the likelihood of them happening.
What's next for Roots In the future, I would like to create a drone and go through a test run. Then use the drone global to help people around the world.
