We were inspired because we wanted to try out new stuff on scratch so we decided to make a translator robot to help people learn languages in a fun and easy way. It is easy to use and has a specific response to what you tell it. We created this translator because we thought it would be a great idea for the robots to translate your text! These robots translate whatever you ask and even do some fun tricks!

We divided the project in half. One person worked on the introductory tutorial to show how the robot translator works. The other worked on the coding for the robots to be able to translate. We ran into a few challenges with the robots appearing at random times and sometimes not even appearing at all! But we managed to fix the glitches and now everything works well.

We are proud of spending long hours working on our project to get the outcome and being able to finish it in the given time. We did not give up when we faced challenges

We learned how to use new blocks in scratch to help the robot to be able to translate just as we wanted it. We also learned how to work as a team on a hackathon.

We think that in the future we can add more languages (including African languages)

Our note:

Susanne: I worked on the intro, most of the backdrops, and a bit of the coding for the robot translating.

Christian: I worked on the translator and making the endings. I dabbled into using the username command so it gives a special ending if you helped make it.
