BiasRisk – Hackathon Submission
Inspiration
I followed the theme and decided to explore unconscious gender bias through a simple, reflective quiz experience.
What it does
BiasRisk asks users 15 yes/no/don’t know questions, then shows a bias score with smooth visuals. It's designed to raise awareness without being overwhelming.
How I built it
Built with React, Tailwind CSS, React Router, and Framer Motion. The quiz is fully interactive, with transitions and state-based logic.
Challenges I ran into
- Managing state across animated pages
- Getting layouts and responsiveness right
- Making the design feel polished and consistent
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
- Clean multi-page UI with animation
- Fully working quiz and score system
- Simple and intuitive user flow
What I learned
- Improved React logic and routing
- Tailwind styling techniques
- Using animation libraries in real apps
What's next for RiskBias
- Expand question sets
- Add shareable results
- Explore deeper score breakdowns (potentially more accurate)
(shortened by gpt so its not 2000 words)
Built With
- framermotion
- react
- tailwind-css
