🧠 The Backstory The basedspace x Talent Garden AI Hackathon in Vilnius 🇱🇹 wasn’t just a weekend trip — it was an opportunity handed to me by Alise, a 3rd-year student at Business Academy. I'm in the 2nd year, still finding my edge, and this felt like the perfect place to push it.

On the way there, we had a strong(turned out not so strong) concept: a platform to help investors assess startup teams based on team dynamics. But as the girls had already spent the week prior talking to real investors, it was clear we needed to pivot.

So we did. Twice.

⚙️ Pivot 1 → Startup Stock Exchange Inspired by pump.fun, we explored the idea of letting people bet on new startups — a way to test market interest and validate hype around early projects.

⚡ Pivot 2 → Risk-Us The concept evolved again. Risk-Us started as a random “what if?” When one of the founders of based space - came in and said pump.fun for startups is fun, but betting on shipping - just what we need! What if anyone could place fun, real-time bets on anything — fast, with friends? No money, just playful decision-making. That’s how Risk-Us was born.

While the team built out our core community challenge platform, I decided to prototype Risk-Us as a solo sprint — just to see what I could build with freebie replit in 24 hours.

🧠 The initial Idea “What if you could place fun, real-time bets with friends — like Kahoot but for anything?” A lightweight, social betting app where one person sets the question and others place bets on the outcome — all in real-time.

🛠️ The Build I gave myself a solo mission: ship a working MVP before the hackathon ended. Used Lovable for quick UI (and yes, I made a few extra accounts to get more design tries 😅) Backend built by Olav - another teammate (more exp. dev.) & hosted on Vercel Kept it functional, fun, and slightly chaotic — just like the hackathon

🔥 What I Learned Hackathons force you to stop overthinking — you either ship or you don’t Fun MVPs are underrated — people smiled when I explained it, and that felt good Solo-building under pressure teaches more than 10 tutorials Design is a vibe — especially when you only have hours to choose ui 😅 Prompting ai to prompt > CTRL C + CTRL V Full mvp prompt > 5 credits adding more func. > new acc 5 new credits > more func.

Secret sauce to vibe coding ^^^

🚀 What’s Next?

Not sure where Risk-Us will go yet — maybe: Add a scoreboard? Run group sessions during events? Rebuild it as a Telegram game? Or maybe it’ll just stay as a reminder that I can go from idea to product in a weekend.

If you want to get any of the created stuff just hit me up and you probably can ship full scale it in a weekend!
