Inspiration
I used to be obsessed with games like BopIt and Simon Says as a kid. So I thought this would be the perfect hackathon to try to build something along those lines.
What it does
The game will randomly select an LED (red, green, blue) and the player will have to select the correct button. If the correct button is pressed the player wins the round otherwise the beeper will activate letting the player know they have lost the game.
How I built it
I built it using an Arduino Uno and spare parts I had lying around my desk.
Challenges I ran into
I'm still not very skilled in hardware hacking, I constantly run into mistakes with creating circuits. I also had an issue with endless loops and the game not starting correctly.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I made a game out of hardware.
What I learned
I learned to always use the correct resistors and think carefully how you lay out your circuits.
What's next for RGB: Guess
I would like to add different difficulty settings and maybe build a wooden enclosure to encapsulate it. (Perfect Christmas gift idea next year).
