Inspiration
Gordon Ramsay, Queen Elizabeth II and Global Apocalypse, what else can cause more inspiration to cook the dinner based on what 80's retro robot says.
What it does
Based on your mood , wishes , taste or whatever reason a person might have to cook something, our app takes user's response and turns it into a recipe.
How we built it
React, NES.css. and few other things that made our work much easier. We splitted up the responsibilities and started working.
Challenges we ran into
It was really hard to work with API response at first, since it was the last thing we had left on our plate, but the purpose of hackathon is not to make everything perfect, but to make it work. So we made it work.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Design. Honestly, as programmers we didn't feel confident on design, but eventually I believe it played out really well. So, we're very proud of it.
What we learned
The most important thing we learnt was how to work in a team environment. However, it wouldn't be fair not to mention that our React (and JS of course) skills improved a lot.
What's next for Retrokinator
We want to build a quiz based on which our code will guess what meal a user has guessed for it. Hangman for food on steroids.
