Inspiration

Like many students, we face uncertainty and difficulty when searching for positions in the field of computer science. Our goal is to create a way to tailor your resume to each job posting to increase your odds of an interview or position. Our aim is to empower individuals by creating a tool that seamlessly tailors resumes to specific job postings, significantly enhancing the chances of securing interviews and positions.

What it does

ResumeTuner revolutionizes the job application process by employing cutting-edge technology. The platform takes a user's resume and a job description and feeds it into a Large Language Model through the Replicate API. The result is a meticulously tailored resume optimized for the specific requirements of the given job, providing users with a distinct advantage in the competitive job market.

How we built it

Frontend: React / Next.js + Tailwind + Material UI

Backend: Python / FastAPI + Replicate + TinyMCE

Challenges

Creating a full stack web application and integrating it with other API's and components was challenging at times, but we pushed through to complete our project.
